Phew! That was a tough discussion last night. Pondering about the question "What is it that we find people of Western society to be missing, which has to do with Spirituality or a focus on 'the soul'," we found that we could not get to an agreement about something that includes the word Spirituality. Therefore, we decided to be radical, and change the Third Problem (though not to the approval of all).


3. People of Western society lack a sense of spirituality or a focus on ‘the soul’.

will cease to exist. In its place, though not as an adequate replacement, we could include the following two Problems:

3a. People of Western society are unsufficiently aware of the social conventions that they live by.
3b. Western society, as a whole, has lost the will to search for a better society – a shared better future – and people are instead too much focused on individual gain.
