Hello Schrödinger’s Cats!
You are invited to come to the next meeting of the nameless discussion club, which is known as Schrödeninger’s Cats for this week, on Sunday April 19! As usual, the meeting will start at 20:00 and end past midnight, and you are requested to take some drinks with you to share.
Please respond if you will or will not come!
On the agenda will be more talking about societal problems. So far we have identified six of these problems that bother us, and that should be changed. These are (in random order):
1. Western society does not enable individuals to utilize their own agency to the optimal extent.
2. People of Western society lack a sense of community.
3. People of Western society lack a sense of spirituality or a focus on ‘the soul’.
4. Companies and the people that own them have become too influential, and are not under democratic control.
5. The way of thinking by many people (I might add: the older generations) is rigid: it’s either “yes” or “no” (and more often no than yes), and not both or something in between or something else entirely.
6. Too many people blindly / uncritically follow popular opinion.
These are already quite al lot, and we’re getting somewhere. However I’m sure that there will be a lot more to discover still, as we can’t seem to run out of fire when discussing these things.
Soon we might start talking about how some of these things can be changed!
